Queen’s Platinum Jubilee School Picnic, Time Capsule and Tree Dedication

To honour the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Trowbridge Town Council are hosting a collaborative event in Trowbridge Park on Tuesday 7th June, uniting schools from across Trowbridge and its surrounding parishes.

We will be hosting a picnic celebration with music, dance and fun Royal themed activities provided by Trowbridge Museum.  As part of the event, we will be dedicating a newly planted tree to form part of the Queen’s Green Canopy.  We have been working with local schools to create a special town time capsule that will be buried as part of the event.

We hope that this commemorative Jubilee picnic will be a fantastic celebration of an important national event.

From 1pm, members of the public are invited to join us by the bandstand in the town park for the burial of our time capsule and tree dedication.  There will be a special performance of the national anthem led by The Clarendon Academy choir to close the event.
