Thousands of people are expected to celebrate one of Wiltshire’s biggest Pride events this month.
Chippenham Pride is due to take place on Saturday 15th June, with a colourful walk through the town centre followed by hours of live music and entertainment in Monkton Park.
There will also be cabaret and education stages, a bar, market, and a wide range of stalls offering food and drinks.
Last year’s inaugural event attracted more than 4,000 people but organisers hope this year’s spectacle will be even bigger and better.
One of the highlights is a guest appearance by singer Clare Cordell who was a quarter finalist on The Voice UK.
Chippenham Pride founder and chair Penny MacDivitt said: “Last year’s event exceeded all expectations and showed the local community were keen to celebrate inclusion and diversity in all its forms.
“So this year we’ve expanded from Island Park to Monkton Park to provide plenty of space for even more attractions for the whole family to enjoy.
“We hope residents will show their support by lining the streets for the walk through the town centre at 12noon – we’re expecting to see hundreds of people taking part in the colourful procession, including local businesses, charities and clubs.
“Then they can enjoy an afternoon and evening packed full of fabulous free music and entertainment, showing why Chippenham is such a welcoming place for everyone.”

This year’s headline sponsors are local companies Good Energy and Siemens.
