I’ve been entering pageants for just over a year now, my first pageant was the Miss Swindon/Wiltshire Heat in 2014. I was lucky enough to place runner up Miss Swindon and at this point caught the pageant bug! I found it difficult to enter pageants around my job and school but was really happy to start competing again this year. I competed the Miss Wiltshire 2015 but sadly didn’t win, I did however win Miss Publicity for my work within the local community! I love getting involved in the community and providing a helping hand. Recently I’ve modelled at the Open Door Centres fashion show. I had such an amazing time and was honoured to be asked to take part. In August I competed for Miss British Beauty Queen which was my first national pageant, it was a scary experience but I got to meet so many new people in the pageant community!
Miss Glamorous Beauty UK is going to be such a new experience for me and I’m actually quite nervous. It will be my first time representing Wiltshire and I really hope I can do the county proud! There’s so much preparation involved and I’ll need to get my creative hands ready again. I’m lucky enough to have the support of my fellow Wiltshire Beauty Queens who support me every step of the way. There’s only a small group of us pageant girls in Wiltshire and we all work together and help each other out. I will be competing in Hannah Goldings’ charity pageant, Miss Rainbow Star this November in aid of the Rainbow Child Foundation. I’m proud to be sponsored by Grants Dental Surgery for this pageant, they have been my biggest fans and such a support network this year and I’m so thankful for all their help this year. Without them I wouldn’t be able to compete in all these competitions.
With two pageants coming up, I will be out in the community in my T-shirt for Miss Rainbow Star and my sash for Miss Glamorous Beauty Wiltshire doing whatever I can to make a difference! I’ve got lots of events coming up so keep an eye out! My aims for 2016 are to conquer pageants on an international level, hopefully and maybe even run my own pageant for charity!
