Join hundreds of others in a gentle walk to celebrate life, remember a loved one and raise money for Dorothy House.
The Dusk Memory Walk is a 5km circular sponsored walk. It starts at the Hospice at 7pm and ends as daylight begins to fade. We invite you and the whole family to come along – including the dog!
When you sign up to do the walk, we’ll send you a paper candle bag and a dedication label. You can personalise both with a message or picture. At the end of the walk, we’ll invite you to light a candle so your message shines out over the grounds of the Hospice.
How it works
Entry for the Dusk Memory Walk is £12 for adults and £5 for anyone under the age of 16. A family ticket costs £30 (two adults and two children). The walk is a sponsored event. We don’t specify a minimum amount, but we’d love you to raise as much as you can.
If you’d rather not raise sponsorship, we’d be most grateful if you could donate instead. We suggest £28 per adult, but that’s just a guideline – the amount is completely up to you.
Registration opens at 6pm and the walk starts at 7pm.
What’s the route like?
The walk is 5km, starting and ending at the Hospice.
Part of the walk will be through fields and could be muddy so please wear sturdy footwear. There are a few gentle hilly sections. We regret that the route is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
