Malmesbury League of Friends (MLOF) has presented the Malmesbury outpatients physiotherapy department at the Malmesbury Primary Care Centre (MPCC) with new equipment costing just under £5,000.
The new physiotherapy equipment, which includes two exercise bicycles, one rowing machine, a set of rubber coated dumbbells with storage rack, and a weights exercise bench, will enable the department to offer improved facilities to MPCC patients .
The department provides around 850 treatment sessions and assesses some 300 patient referrals each month.
John Cooper, the Physiotherapy Team Leader, said: “ We are extremely grateful to MLOF for their generous donation, which will enable us to offer improved treatments to an ever-growing number of patients, covering a broad range of medical conditions.”
David Hide, MLOF chairman, said: “ We are delighted to have been able to support this request, which will enable more patients who need these treatments to benefit from them and more quickly.”
