New Exhibits

The Atwell Wilson Motor Museum in Calne is very pleased to announce two new exhibits which have just arrived. The Museum has a close relationship with the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, and they have entrusted these wonderful rare cars to be shown in Calne, adding to the collection which is a particular feature of the Great West Way initiative.

The classic vehicles on loan are a 1910 Austin 7hp, making it the oldest car on show and probably the only survivor of the 162 Austin-badged single-cylinder models produced between 1909 and 1911; and a 1936 MG NB Magnette, which was the last of the classic pre-war 6 cylinder overhead camshaft MG models.

Graham Smith, one of the Directors of The Atwell Wilson Motor Museum said:

“We are particularly excited to receive these wonderful machines as part of the loan relationship between the British Motor Museum and the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum. The museum in Calne has a fascinating collection of classic cars and motorbikes and these cars add to the width and quality of the collection.  If you have yet to visit the Museum, please put us on your ‘to do’ list and not miss the opportunity to wallow in nostalgia!!”
